Drunken stupor - causes community friction

A resident from Cedar Park Avenue has complained about noise from a factory sandwiched between two residential roads. Apparently sawing and cutting of an extremely high decibel emanates from the location. The noise occurs outside of prescribed hours and has destroyed the quality of life for families living here. Furthermore, the workers - every two weeks or so hold an evening “shin dig” at the location and drink themselves, well into excess - till late hours. Absurdly and with no thought to the consequences they then get into their cars completely inebriated to travel home.

The residents are also concerned about the amount of bulky waste especially of a wooden nature left around the site and actually leaning on a residents property that is unfortunately placed next to an alleyway to the hidden commercial property - a fire allegedly occurred at the location two years ago and the bulky wast is very prone to potential attack by arsonists. Furthermore, it has been implied that rats have and still roam and habit the area

Finally, It is purported by residents that an extension to the existing commercial building occurred two years ago without any planning consent.

I have sent a request for information to the Police, ASBO Team, Pest Control Section, Environmental Safety Team and Planning department and will keep you informed of updates.
