During the summer months from June to August, Redbridge Council's Antisocial Behaviour Team will have extra staff on duty to help with the increased number of complaints received from residents about noise.The service times which are 6 pm to 2 am will be extended to 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Residents are advised to show consideration when hosting events that could result in excessive noise and affect their neighbours.
It's advisable to inform neighbours in advance of any gatherings taking place and make sure noisy parties finish early and the volume of music isn't too loud. We would encourage people to hire appropriate places like halls for larger events.
The Council has a duty to stop noise becoming a nuisance and over the last year has seized over £10,000 worth of noise making equipment including stereos, amplifiers and televisions.
