My ol' Mans a Dustman!

A petition will be delivered for signatures along houses located along 1- 44a Shepherds Close. This petition is arguing for the introduction of a street cleaning service along the alleyway to the rear of residential properties. A number of reidents have asked for such a service as they believe they are entitled to a clean of the alleyway which is used as a travel route for waste collection vehicles. It is purported that much of the waste found in the alleyway is residual waste resulting from dropped litter, during the normal waste collection programme. We may need unanimous support for the scheme if it is to proceed and hence I ask that all residents sign the petition. I will ensure this road never becomes an adopted road as residents are apprehensive about such a change and can assure residents that signing the petition will not grant any authority to our Council to adopt your alleyway. This scheme is being championed by your local Neighbourhood Watch led by Isla Martin at no. 76 Shepherds Close. You can visit her home to sign the petition if you prefer.

I will be raising the concern at an Area 5 Committe Meeting and with the General Cleansing Team. Updates will be added to this blog.
