Redbridge College - an enterprising place!

Juliet was invited to speak at a Redbridge College student awards ceremony - this is because when she came came to the UK from Pakistan, she was well versed in how to speak and write English but had little confidence when using her latent skills. Since proceeding through a range of Redbridge College led English courses she has become a very proficient speaker and was asked to encourage other learners to aspire to greater things. This achievement has been particularly inspiring as Juliet is just about to launch her own Women's Fashion store from which she anticipates that she will be selling elegant evening shoes, costume jewellery and Asian clothes.

Redbridge College also invited Juliet to a recent "Employer Forum", to which local businesses are invited to contribute to the overall business course orientation, are informed of funded training schemes & apprenticeships and are provided with a background of the Colleges future direction. She was interviewed for a Redbrideg College Video explaining why she felt her studies were beneficial to her both domestically and in Business. Juliet continues to give her time to serve the community of Redbridge and I will be posting a clip from the video on our blog soon (she might seem a little nervous she tells me but so would most of us when confronted by a video camera). If you are an employer and would like to learn more about the "Employer Forum" please contact Redbridge College using the following details:

I should add in the picture you will also see Susan Harris Head of English Languages at the College. Meeting with her has inspired me on just how excellent the college truly is. A remarkable woman who is transforming lives daily.
