With no envy (even as Redbridge Carnival Chairman) I am happy to say that the Inspiration Event was a great success and equally well attended. There was a separate Funfair section in Melbourne Fields and a stalls, bouncy castle, climbing, boxing and cycling demonstration area. In the picture to the right you will see me with Radzia Omar the organiser of the Taste Asia Stalls, she is wearing the Pink Cap and was part of the Redbridge Carnival team also for 2008.
I met with Anne Chambers (coordinator for Redbridge ST Johns Ambulance) and her team at the Event and she confirmed that we will be receiving a full squad at our event both days. Redbridge Carnival is appearing at Valentines Park (Melbourne Fields) from 12:00 - 20:00 on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September!
Lesiure service were also providing sports activities including tennis as you can see. I proved my wimbledonic talent even though wearing cumbersome clothing due to a need to start the Redbridge Carnival Queen Selection Dance yesterday at 18:00.
This event was well worth attending so do try and come if you did not make it this year!
