Free Trees!

I received the email below today and hope to disseminate the information to parties that might have an interest:

"We have a tree planting program that is instigated by Mayors of London who will be funding the scheme, to an area where trees are lacking. However priority is now been given to Seven Kings and Goodmayes area and we are looking to identify sites that we can put forward for consideration. The details of the Scheme can be found on www.ltwgs.org. This includes the list of streets included within the area. The Fund's definition of a street tree is; "Trees planted on public land within or immediately adjacent to the highway, which make an unambiguous contribution to the street scene, shade the pavement, and are completely visible from the pavement."

Therefore, we would appreciate it, if you could forward this information to a relevant residents groups that you know of who might be interested on the matter and give us advise. We would like to receive any feed back/information before the 31st of August 2009.
