On yer bike!
Paul Whiffin of UKIP who was to challenge our own prospective Councillor for Chadwell Ward and prospective MP for Ilford South Wilson Chowdhry, has resigned after another racist posting this time targeting our Queen! Read more by clicking (here)
Wilson Chowdhry said:
"It is not clear if the resignation is for both the local and general election positions, however, having heard little from Mr Whiffen till now, I will assume most candidates would have deemed him of little threat anyway. The residents of Chadwell Ward are a discerning people and have a great community spirit, that is very inclusive and wholesome. Words from men like Mr Whiffen will certainly have turned them off his candidacy and UKIP."
Wilson also said:
"For a party that is adamant that they are not a right wing fascist movement UKIP have been remarkably lenient in their approach to dealing with this man's rather pernicious behaviour. His racist remarks were quite frankly to close to the bone. At that stage his status as Prospective candidate should have been immediately withdrawn. Paul Whiffen has been allowed to resign when he should have been sacked by UKIP. The poor leadership of this party deserves any public retribution they receive on election night, for failing the simple ideologies of representing their constituents and providing the protection one expects from their politicians. The evil rantings of Paul Whiffen have been given a platform that should never have been made available."
