True access to flats at rear of shop!
Loss of shop will affect our local community!
Residents have informed us of the following (sic):
1) From the drawings submitted it shows that the access to the above flats are from the front of the property, entrance next to the shop entrance. This is incorrect, that entrance belongs to Londis (76 Somverville Road) and it is clearly numbered 76 Somerville Road. The entrance to flat(s) 74 is via the rear, which can be clearly seen from the photos included.
2) There have been many issues with the current tenants all which can be found in police reports. We are a tight knitted community and Mr Chahal creating more living quarters will just increase to the distress some of the residents have been through.
3) The designs include the conversion of a shop into a one bedroom ground floor flat with an ensuite and a bathroom, this is a very large shop, It is believed that more than one unit of living quarters will be built to generate more income.
4) Chadwell Heath has a few local shops, it would be a shame to lose a local amenity so that flats can be built. A loss of a shop on that parade will be a great loss to the history of the neighbourhood.

5 The plans submitted indicate the use of a parking space, access route is shared with Londis whose storage is located at the rear and where deliveries are made. This space is not adequate for two cars to pass through at any given time, therefore, the space will have no use.

I have been living in chadwell heath for over 17 years; all the local residents have nothing better to do apart from complain.
ReplyDeleteEven the smallest thing, why can’t you people just calm down for once.
There are bigger issues in life you need to think about i.e. grit in the winter it’s been 3 years running and the council still does nothing.
It’s mainly the older people that seem to complain about silly things that’s because they have nothing else to do...
PS: i have no proplems with number 74 plans.
Kind Regards
Resident

Hopefully when you are old you do not complain at all :) Apart from your issue of grit.
ReplyDeleteyou all need to get a life. Who cares about number 74, the shop was rubbish anyway. People are dying in Haiti, and all you are worried about is this silly non issue. Astonishing!
ReplyDeletePlus Wilson Chowdhry has terrible grammar and can't spell. The newsletters are tragic.
I would argue that this is not allwe have to worry about - there have been several posts since?!
ReplyDeleteI agree the Haiti incident is a significant humanitarian project and deserves attention. However, my sepcific role is with regard to developing local quality of life.
Ooops I can only apologise for your concern with my grammar and spelling. My spelling is actually quite good when not rushing! It's an unfortunate product of overworking....
So, Wilson, there is at least one person who reads your newsletters with sufficient interest to spot typos!
